She has covered sports in many of the top outlets around the globe. The journalist spent more than a decade writing about the sport for The Washington Post, including tennis, football and basketball. Nichols spent nine years at ESPN, where she won the network two Emmy Awards. Her Monday Night Football coverage as a team reporter was one of the areas she worked with the network. Next, she moved on into CNN Sports as well as Turner. Unguarded the show, which she produced and hosted, was telecast each one week at CNN International.
